Dinner & Cinema Tuesdays

A year ago I was sneaking a Goodbyn of vegan treats into a Cinema Tuesdays screening of Breathless, but this year the hubby and I cooked up a hot, delicious meal together after the movie. Part of me already wanted to crack on Day Two of our Summer Restaurant Ban, but I refused to give in to my restaurant craving. I’m so glad we did, because we cooked up some seriously good food.

The hubby enjoying dinner, isn’t he adorable?

We were so excited to see Loves of A Blonde on the big screen. We saw it for the first time recently while watching a string of Czechoslovakian films. An excellent choice by the great people over at TPR Cinema Tuesdays. They have an incredible lineup of films this season, so we know what we’re doing Tuesday evenings!

Seared Tofu & Vegetables
Preparation: We marinated sliced hard tofu in soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder and curry power, then seared it to perfection. Onions, carrots, green onions, zucchini, broccoli, and mushrooms were chopped or sliced with a mandolin and sautéed together with soy sauce and sesame oil.
